UPCOUNTRY SUNDAYS ACOUSTIC STYLE is Mana’o Radio’s regular acoustic showcase, featuring the best of both local artists and visiting musicians.  It’s performed before an enthusiastic live audience on the first Sunday of every month, at Casanova in Makawao.

On this Sunday, July 4th, we are having a very special occasion.  Not only is it the Fourth of July—Rodeo weekend in Makawao—but it’s also the 6th Birthday of Upcountry Sundays Acoustic Style!  And furthermore, we’ll be featuring one of our favorite guest stars, Steve Grimes and Friends.  Steve has just released an outstanding new CD, and he’ll be singing songs from “Labor of Love” along with some other perennial favorites.  Who are the “Friends”?  You’ll just have to come to the show and find out!  They’ll undoubtedly include some of the hottest players on Maui. His recent official CD release party was a smashing success, and this July 4th we get to have our own upcountry celebration.  Also on the program will be Dorothy Betz and Les Adam, who are currently hard at work on their own second CD.  And joining us for the first time, Miss Bentley Kalaway, one of Maui’s best singer-songwriters. You really don’t want to miss this show!

As if that isn’t enough, in honor of our Big 6th Birthday Bash, we will be serving slices of  Free Birthday Cake! This is a tradition that dates all the way back to our first birthday bash, just to show our appreciation of your support of Upcountry Sundays Acoustic Style and Mana’o Radio throughout the year.  

Show time is 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon, and only $7 at the door has got to be the best entertainment bargain in town!  

This will be the LAST Upcountry Sundays show until the fall, as we take our traditional summer break.  We’ll miss you!
